Counseling Philosophy

Erin believes that every person has the ability to make changes that allow for improved quality of life. She recognizes & appreciates individual qualities that foster resiliency. The process of change requires determination, strength & vulnerability and her professional work demonstrates the admiration & respect for this. She believes that empowering individuals with awareness, education & acceptance are vital pieces to making changes. Her goal is to provide support in reaching the goals that individuals have set to promote enhanced quality of life, independence, balance & peace.

No two people are the same, therefore Erin uses an integrative approach to counseling. Her training and skills allow her to utilize evidence-based practices in addressing individual goals while providing a safe, supportive environment.

Her personal interests include spending time with her spouse, her pets (two geriatric chihuahuas & a great dane), family & friends. She LOVES fishing & spends a significant amount of time on the water or ice. Other hobbies include cooking, playing games & gardening.
