It’s completely normal for your mood to shift from time to time—especially after big life changes like losing a loved one, retiring, or being laid off. But if you’ve noticed these feelings lasting longer than two weeks and they’re starting to affect your daily life, it may be time to reach out to a counselor for support.

Depression looks different for everyone, so treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all. Research shows that a combination of therapy and medication is often the most effective approach. At Willow Tree, our counselors can help you explore therapy options that may be right for you, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), neurobiologically based counseling, or EMDR. If you're also interested in learning more about medication, we’re happy to provide referrals and guide you through that process.
